I recorded Creatures in Swanage in my parents house with friends from my other band The Good Beast. It was a joyful weekend of sea swimming, eating and playing music. We cooked a trout and ate it. This album is called Creatures because I imagine all the parts of myself as different creatures inside of myself. There are infinite parts, and this collection of songs gives voice to some. My wisdom (wise part), The Journey of Water ( Changable and emotionally driven part), Like No Other (Courageous part), Burning Question (Hopeless part). Military Men is an exception...
